Ever want to be part of the space program?  Here’s your chance to be part of “Mission Control” at our VBS “Miraculous  Mission!” We need volunteers to make our program a success. VBS is June 17-20 in the evenings. Please see the sign up sheet on the bulletin board or contact Carla Murphy for more information.  VBS student registrations are also being accepted now.

Annual Plant Sale – Flowers arrive Saturday, May 11. Please pick them up between 8:00 am and 12:30 pm. If you are unable to pick up your flowers during this time, please make other arrangements with Gretchen. Thank you for your support of our plant sale.

Food, Family, Camp and Games! Join us from 5:30-7:30 pm on May 8th for food, family, camp and games! Come hear about Camp Okoboji and the many opportunities for attending camp! We will have two representatives here to give a presentation and allow for questions and answers. Whether you have a youth of camp age this year or maybe in the future, please come hear them while enjoying great food and then later we will play family games! This event is the last LYF activity until fall. To help us plan on food, please fill out the form in the brochure rack in the back of the church and return to the Board of Youth or contact Stephanie Taylor, Angi Esser or Carla Murphy. Hope to see all youth and families there!

TODAY we are collecting Mites for the LWML Mission Grants. You can help spread the Gospel around the world by contributing to the mission goal. The large mite box is in the narthex. Thank you.

The Book to Know group will meet May 9th, 7:00 pm, at Julie Coy’s home to discuss “Evidence Not Seen” by Darlene Deibler Rose, who is originally from Boone, IA. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion. We will also choose the books for the next year. Please come and give us your input.

Looking for a way to serve? We need people to serve Sunday morning coffee at 9:45 am MAY 12 and in JUNE. The sheet is posted on the bulletin board.

Stewardship Opportunity–  If you have ever had the thought of serving the Lord by being part of a board; stewardship  has an opportunity you do not want to pass on.   They are in need of a vice-chair for the 2019-2020 church year.  The good news is the current chair, Larry Wiebel, is going to continue as chair for the upcoming year.   Thus, you will be able to draw on Larry’s  knowledge and leadership.  For more information contact Larry or the co-chairs of the nominating committee Tom Henriksen or Paul Knop.
