Trunk Or Treat is almost here!  All individuals, families, boards, committees and Missional Communities are encouraged to participate in this year’s Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27th by hosting a trunk! If you would like to host a trunk please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Let us know your trunk theme! If you have questions contact a member of the Board of Education! 

Sunday School Christmas Program Needs YOU!  The Board of Education is in need of a congregation member to step up and coordinate/ director this years Sunday School Christmas Program. You will have a lot of support from the board. Please speak with Greg Gebhart, Steve Wilcken or Thomas Wilson. 

Let’s Get “S’Moring” Everyone is invited to attend the 2019 Campfire on Saturday, October 12th at 6:00 PM at McFarland Park. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us! Food and beverages will be provided. Come have fun with games, music (sing-a-long) and fire! 

The annual fundraising banquet for Obria Medical Clinics (formerly Informed Choices) is Tuesday, October 1 at Cornerstone Church in Ames.  Obria is a major national life-affirming organization.  You will need to register this Sunday, Sep. 29 at InformedchoiceIA.org or call 319-337-0575.   This year’s event will be a family affair…all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend, and there will be activities and supervision for the young children.  A buffet-style dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6:45, worship time is from 6:15 – 7:00, and the program begins at 7:00.   This year’s speaker is Kathleen Eaton Bravo, the Executive Director of Obria Group.  There will also be moving stories by Obria Clinic staff and nurses about their daily encounters with young women.  Registration is for the dinner…feel free to attend the worship/program without registering and bring your friends!  Please consider attending and supporting this important mission.  

The Book to Know group will meet Nov. 14th, 7:00 pm, at Thelma Voetberg’s home to discuss “Fire by Night” by Lynn Austin. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

Sunday, Oct. 6, will be the next Omelet brunch at Camp Okoboji from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. If you are up at the lakes, stop in to eat. Volunteers are also needed. Call Charles Ellis if you can help.

Everyone is invited to come to the fellowship hall before education hour for coffee. Two Sundays a month there are coffee and treats and a free-will offering is taken for a special need.
