Announcements
WELCOME to all the Preschool children and their families! We are so happy to see all of you and invite you into God’s house. We are eager to meet each of you, so please stay after the service, eat, and enjoy fellowship with us!
Family Service Quilters will meet on Thursday, Sept. 26th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Bring a sack lunch and join us. Our Family Service meeting will be at 1:00 pm.
We will be collating the October Epistle on MONDAY (the 23rd) at 9:15 am. Please come if you can help.
The Book to Know group will meet Nov. 14th, 7:00 pm, at Thelma Voetberg’s home to discuss “Fire by Night” by Lynn Austin. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.
Trunk Or Treat is almost here! All individuals, families, boards, committees and Missional Communities are encouraged to participate in this year’s Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27th by hosting a trunk! If you would like to host a trunk please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex. Let us know your trunk theme! If you have questions contact a member of the Board of Education!
Sunday School Christmas Program Needs YOU! The Board of Education is in need of a congregation member to step up and coordinate/ director this years Sunday School Christmas Program. You will have a lot of support from the board. Please speak with Greg Gebhart, Steve Wilcken or Thomas Wilson.
Let’s Get “S’Moring” Everyone is invited to attend the 2019 Campfire on Saturday, October 12th at 6:00 PM at McFarland Park. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us! Food and beverages will be provided. Come have fun with games, music (sing-a-long) and fire!
Sunday, Oct. 6, will be the next Omelet brunch at Camp Okoboji from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. If you are up at the lakes, stop in to eat. Volunteers are also needed. Call Charles Ellis if you can help.
Looking for a way to serve? We need people to serve Sunday morning coffee at 9:45 am in Sept. and Oct. The sheets are posted on the bulletin board.
We have contacted Food at First, a place where people who are short of funds may get a free meal every day. We will take a group there on Thursday, September 26 and need a few more to work at 5:30. If you would like to join us, please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board. We will be serving and cleaning up. Probably about 2 hours and wear anything but make sure you have comfortable shoes.
