Announcements

Reminder– No Bible class or Sunday School in July. Education Hour will resume in August. See you then!

Please check the sample church directory in the narthex to make sure your contact information is correct. Many people are getting rid of their land lines, so please make sure we have a correct phone number for you. Many people are including their email addresses, so please consider if you would like your email address added. Thank you.

The Missional Group that meets at Northridge Village is hosting a “Hymn Sing” on Thursday, July 11 at 3 p.m., in the Independent Dining Room of the west building of Northridge Village. Residents are invited.   Laura LaGrange will accompany the group as we enjoy singing many favorite old hymns. If you love singing and are available next Thursday at 3 p.m., please join us. Lemonade and cookies will be served. If you have questions, please call Shirley Tice, 232-1405. Hope to see you!

Calling all women of St. Paul- are you suffering from Bible study withdrawal?  We will be hosting a Women’s Bible study July 15th, 22nd, and 29th (not to interfere with Kingdom Workers or Board of Directors meeting) from 5:45 – 7 pm in the fellowship hall. We will do a Bible study from the Quarterly. Questions – contact Vickie Roach or Karen Griffin.

VBS -What a Miraculous Mission VBS was held June 17-20. The theme was Miraculous Mission-Jesus Saves the World. The four nights were definitely a successful outreach for St. Paul. We had 89 kids registered from preschool to 6th grade. Of those, 25 were St. Paul members, 32 were from other churches and 32 were unchurched. Our mission offering goal was to raise $500 for the western Iowa flood recovery efforts and we brought in $670.82. We provided free family meals to over 100 people each night. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make VBS a success! This definitely is God’s love in action at St. Paul!

TODAY we are collecting Mites for the LWML Mission Grants. You can help spread the Gospel around the world by contributing to the mission goal. The large mite box is in the narthex. Thank you.

August Epistle items are due Monday, July 15th.

The Book to Know group will meet July 11th, 7:00 pm, at Carol Folkmann’s home to discuss “Same Kind of Different As Me: A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together” by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

Family Service Quilters will meet on Thursday, July 11th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for a Thrivent Action Team event. Bring a sack lunch and join us.
