The Evangelism Committee needs help welcoming and registering members for the upcoming photo sessions. Please review the sign-up sheet that is posted on the bulletin board in the narthex.
Plan to attend! Oct.14 will be a special day that you wont want to miss! We will have a special Mission Speaker, Rev John Fale, who is now a representative of Mission Central to help us celebrate LWML Sunday. Following the service the Evangelism Committee will be serving a meal with a “Pies For Missions” contest. The winner will receive a $10 HyVee gift card. (See the Epistle for more details.)
Special Voters’ Meeting– Oct. 14 following our Mission Fest meal. The plans for a new addition to the church have been presented and the voters’ meeting will determine the next steps. Don’t miss it!

The Book to Know group will meet Nov. 8th, 7:00 pm, at Carol Folkmann’s home to discuss “Luther and Katharina: A Novel of Love and Rebellion” by Jodi Hedlund. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.
Ladies, it is time to sign up to receive The LWML Quarterly. This is the official publication of the LWML and is filled with mission updates, inspirational stories and more. The cost is only $5 per year. Please sign up at the display in the narthex. We have a few extra magazines, so if you would like to take one home and look it over, please do so. Please return it to the display when you are finished. The deadline to sign up is Oct. 14.
LADIES, you are all invited to our sister church, Memorial Lutheran, Ames as they host the LWML Boone Zone Fall rally on Saturday October 6, from 9-2. Don’t miss this wonderful time of fellowship, food, and strengthening of faith! See the poster in the narthex bulletin board.
