Announcements:

What is that favorite dish you make that everyone just loves?? Plan to bring it Wednesday, Dec 16 to our final Advent dinner. Everyone LOVES a potluck! And that is what we’re having. We will begin at 6:00 pm. So have food here by 5:45 pm. The Elders will handle the set up and clean up.

Angel Tree Gifts are due back to the church by TODAY. Thanks so much!!

Reminder: No Midweek classes Dec. 23 or 30. Classes will resume on Jan 6.

We have found several artificial Christmas trees in the attic. They range from all sizes. If you are interested in looking at them, please let us know. If you are interested in looking at them, they are in the old balcony and there is one in a container in the narthex of the church. Please let the office or Judy Peter (232-1876) know if you want one. If not, they will be given to Salvation Army.

Reminder– Bring your Bethesda Food Pantry Donations Next Sunday.

We still have some St. Paul Logo jackets available in limited sizes. If you are interested, talk to Ron Coy. They are still $10.

The Human Care Board is collecting warm hats and gloves, as well as socks, for needy men, women, and children. You may place your donations in the labeled bin in the east coat area. Thank you!

Do you have a passion for wellness? If so, we need your help. Our health insurance provider has asked LCMS participating employers to appoint a “wellness champion”. If you have any interest or questions, please contact Drue Sander (292-3574) for more information. Beside the benefits of better health and wellness to individuals, participation in this program will also allow us to help control our health insurance cost in the years ahead. Thanks for your consideration.

Thank you to all who donated to the Bethesda Food Pantry last month. 339 items and over $1700.00 was given to the food pantry.

We wish to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to congregation members who generously donated to United Christians International in support of projects to be undertaken during our Haiti mission trip. Your donation will go towards one (or more!) of these: funding a cement floor for a local family’s home, purchasing goats for the teachers at Leger (the UCI school we will be staying at), and building a kitchen for the Lunches for Leger program. The kitchen will greatly improve the way meals are prepared by replacing a small open-air fire pit. We ask God to bless you as richly as you are blessing the mission work done in Haiti! Keith & Carol Folkmann

The Human Care Board wishes to thank everyone for their wonderful support of this year’s HOPE Gift Market. God has truly blessed each and every one of you with giving hearts and open hands! May God continue to bless you as well as all those you have helped with your amazing generosity!

The Blood Drive will be held at the church’s parking lot in Life Serve’s Blood-Mobile on Tuesday, January 26th, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. For those people who are interested in signing up, or who have questions, contact Brian Weber at (515) 450-2358.
