Please place donations in the basket marked “Health Kits” in the narthex. As a family project for VBS, on Sunday, Aug. 3rd, participants will be assembling the kits. We hope to be able to make 75 kits that night. The health kits will go to local shelters in Ames, Des Moines and beyond. Items Needed for health kits  We are accepting donations of health items to make health kits as part of the Summer Sunday school mission project. See the display in the narthex for a list of items needed.

Reminder– Women’s Bible study will continue to meet during the summer on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th (and 5th if applicable) Mondays at 7:00 pm. We are not doing a series, just stand-alone studies, so all are welcome whatever day you can make it. No special materials or homework – just bring your Bible.

The men’s Bible study has completed the Book of Ezekiel and now beginning a study of the Book of John.  The next Men’s Bible study meeting and the next meeting on the Book of John is July 14th beginning at 6:00 pm in the basement of the church.

Are you an adult who has never been confirmed? Would you like to learn more about the core beliefs of the Christian church, drawn from Scriptures? Would you like to dig deeper into the foundations of our faith and the teachings which come from Christ? We are working to make plans for a new adult confirmation class. The class would involve workbook lessons you complete at home and group discussions with Pastor and other participants in the class. You may attend the class simply to review the material and to refresh your faith, or you may attend with a goal of being confirmed. If you are an adult who has an interest in this, please speak to Pastor Jenks very soon.
