Rite of Confirmation- September 27

Rite of Confirmation Outdoor Service September 27!

The Rite of Confirmation was supposed to be held the first Sunday in May, but had to be delayed, as at that time we were unable to hold any in-person worship services due to the mandates of the state.  Now that we can again gather together, following CDC protocol, the Rite of Confirmation has been rescheduled.

Sunday, September 27, we will hold the Rite of Confirmation at a special outdoor worship service at 8:15 a.m. at Bandshell Park.  Social distancing and mask protocol will be in effect at this service.  The usual 10 AM service (usual during the pandemic) will still be held at the church and livestreaming on that day as well.

Like many of the rest of you, some families of confirmands were not yet comfortable attending an indoor service during the ongoing pandemic –that’s why the Rite of Confirmation is scheduled outdoors.  All of us agreed that we really want to get our seven amazing youth confirmed, since they have been waiting patiently for over four months to confirm and profess their faith in Christ.

This outdoor service provides a worship option for those who would like to worship with us in person, but who are not yet comfortable gathering indoors.  Those who attend are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.  Please pray for Shaun, Tate, Ella, Tyler, Taylor, Kylie and Keegan as they prepare to publicly share their statements of faith in Jesus!
