Prayer Vigil, Holy Saturday, April 20. Please sign up on the display board in the west entryway to participate in the prayer vigil on April 20, from 6 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Only a few15 minutes time slots are still available.

No Midweek classes April 17 due to Holy week. Midweek classes will resume April 24.

Flood Relief in Iowa and Nebraska- Our hearts are broken as we see the destruction caused by the recent flooding.  President Turner and I have been contacting pastors in the affected areas asking how the district can help.  More details about the flooding and what is needed are on the bulletin insert.

Donations can be directed to: Iowa District West-Flooding and sent to: Iowa District West, 409 Kenyon Road, Suite B,  Fort Dodge, IA 50501  

Please contact me with questions, concerns, or when you hear of individuals and/or communities who need help with flood relief.

Thank you from our camp kids! On Wednesday, eight youth who are interested in going to Camp Okoboji this summer served walking tacos at the last Lenten meal. $300 was collected in donations which will be split to help cover registration costs. They want to thank all who came to support them!

Save the dates for Adventureland! St. Paul will once again offer discounted admission tickets to Adventureland to our members and preschool families. The tickets will be good for your choice of one of 4 of the following dates: April 27, 28, May 4 or 5th. Tickets will be $25 per person ($20 discount per ticket). The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board. 

The Book to Know group will meet May 9th, 7:00 pm, at Julie Coy’s home to discuss “Evidence Not Seen” by Darlene Deibler Rose, who is originally from Boone, IA. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion. We will also choose the books for the next year. Please come and give us your input.

Annual Plant Sale – The Board of Women’s Ministry annual plant sale has begun. Stop by the table in the west entryway to pick up an order form. Funds will be used for scholarships to the national LWML convention in June and for supporting the new mission grants that will be chosen at the convention. Take a form for friends or businesses that may need spring plants. Orders are due by April 29. Flowers arrive May 11.

Easter Lily– If you would like to purchase an Easter lily for the church for Easter Sunday, the forms are in the bulletin. Just fill out the form and put the form with payment in the secretary mailbox in the coat-room.   Sunday, April 14th is the last day to order.

 Beta Sigma Psi, the Lutheran Fraternity at Iowa State is selling tickets for their “Sunset Cookout” to be held Thursday, April 18, 5-8 pm. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door. They will be serving burgers, brats, and more. Their proceeds will go to the Puppy Jake Foundation.
