Announcements

Join us Sunday in the fellowship hall at 10 am for the “NOT-SO-NEWLYWED” Game as three couples vie for the title!  Kent Eubanks will be hosting our show!

The Book to Know group will meet Thursday, March 14th, 7:00 pm at Janelle Swenson’s home to discuss “Women of Easter” by Liz Curtis Higgs. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

New Bible study for Women– On February 4 the Women’s Bible study group began a new study: Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer. We meet every Monday at 5:45 p.m. in the board room in the basement.  All women of the congregation are invited to join us.

Could your group sign up to provide a Lenten meal? We would like to have all the Lenten meals planned soon. We are looking for groups to provide a meal. This does not mean it has to be a church board, but it could be. It could also be a Missional Community group, choir, altar guild, or a group of friends. Sign up on the bulletin board for the week you would like to serve.

Bring a dish to share and join us for the Senior Fellowship Potluck on Wednesday, February 13 at 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall

Family Service Quilters will meet Thursday, February 14th, for a Thrivent Action Team Event from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wear your Thrivent T-Shirts, bring a sack lunch and join us.

March Epistle items are due Friday, February 15th.

It’s Lutheran Witness Renewal Time!  The current list is posted on the bulletin board.  Sunday, February 24 is the LAST SUNDAY to place your order.  If you want to continue to get the magazine, mark an OK next to your name and put your check for $22.68 in the office mailbox. This price includes the insert from Iowa District West. If you want to start getting the magazine, add your name to the blank form and put your check for $22.68 in the office mailbox. This price includes the insert from Iowa District West. If you want to stop getting the magazine, just cross your name off the list.

Needed: The men’s homeless shelter needs men’s white socks, underwear, and work gloves. This is a fun way to get something you know will be used. Please place items in the HOPE container in the east entryway.

If you are a Thrivent member, and have accumulated choice dollars in your   accounts, now is a good time to designate them to an organization of your choice. If it is St Paul Lutheran, you may select your choice dollars to go to any of the programs at St. Paul. If you do direct them to a specific program please notify the Financial Secretary (Tom Baas) of the amount and the area of our church to which you would like the funds directed. If you need help in designating your choice dollars, please contact your Thrivent representative or the St. Paul Office.  If your choice dollars are not distributed by March, Thrivent will distribute them to organizations of their choice.

The Human Care Board is having a donation drive for ACCESS. There will be a large box in the narthex. Access is an organization that helps survivors of violence.  Some of the needs are: toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and hygiene products. They have a registry at TARGET (search registry, then type in ACCESS under organization) where you can get more ideas or purchase a gift card. They also are always in need of gas cards. If you choose to donate a gift card please put it in the Human Care Board mailbox. If you have any questions please contact Gloria Lewis. Thank you! Board of Human Care.

2019 Flower Chart: God has given us the greatest gift of all, His Son, our Savior. Would you like to give the gift of flowers? The 2019 Flower Chart is posted on the bulletin board.
