Announcements 

St. Paul has an immediate opening for a part-time administrative assistant.  Qualifications include computer capabilities, communication skills, good organization, and attention to detail.  Hourly pay to be determined based on experience.  Resumes or questions may be submitted to Pastor Jenks or to Elder Chairman Bob Walker. Resumes are due by this Wednesday, January 16!  

It’s that time of year again! The Super Bowl is right around the corner! Which means…. it’s time for the NYG Super Sub sales! Youth will be taking orders for sub sandwiches for Super Bowl Sunday before and after services on Sunday January 20th and 27th. Subs are $10, and you can custom order your sub! Subs will be available to pick up at your chosen time on Sunday, February 3rd, along with our Super Sunday Bake Sale! All proceeds help our youth attend the LCMS National Youth Gathering.

Looking for a way to serve? We need people to serve Sunday morning coffee at 9:45 am in Jan and Feb. The sheets are posted on the bulletin board.

Please join us today (1-13-2019) during  Bible study to listen to Tess Cody, the executive director of ACCESS (Assault Care Center). She will talk about the different services they offer and how we can support victims of violence. Hope to see you there! The Human Care Board.

Parent Study: TODAY(1-13-2019) we will start a NEW parent study during the education hour (9:45-10:45) in the “Parent Lounge” in the basement.  Matt and Janelle Wegner will guide parents through “Gospel Centered Family”. If you would like to join this group please speak with either Matt and Janelle Wegner or Thomas Wilson.

Needed: The men’s homeless shelter needs men’s white socks, underwear, and work gloves. This is a fun way to get something you know will be used. Please place items in the HOPE container in the east entryway.

GOSPEL SING-Special Music Event at St. Paul, Sunday, January 27, 2 p.m. 2 local quartets will sing: St. Paul’s own Rock Solid men’s group and The Brethren quartet from Story City. This will be a variety of music and fun for all ages. Bring the whole family and invite everyone you know. Refreshments will be served. This is free for all. There will be some “sing alongs” and just a fun hour on a Sunday afternoon.

The Book to Know group will meet Jan. 17th, 7:00 pm, at Karen Griffin’s home to discuss “A Light to My Path” by Lynn Austin. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

February Epistle items are due Tuesday, January 15th.
