Family POINTE is Open!  The Family POINTE resource wall, located in the lobby, is open and available for all families to search for that needed resource, prayer cards, or family activity book. If you have questions please feel free to contact Thomas Wilson, DCE – Director of Family Life Ministry. 

The Book to Know group will meet Nov.  8th, 7:00 pm, at Carol Folkmann’s home to discuss “Luther and Katharina: A Novel of Love and Rebellion” by Jodi Hedlund. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD COMES TO ST. PAUL FOR SECOND YEAR Boxes are available for members to pick up to fill. There will also be a small envelope for a $9 donation for shipping, this will include the opportunity to track where your box is being sent! Boxes are due back to the church Sunday, November 11th. This project is being handled by the Family Life Ministry Office.

The American Heritage Girls are selling baked goods and treats TODAY as a fundraiser. Thank you so much for your continued support of our girls!! 

Ada Jean Louise Wyatt, daughter of Gunnar & Ellen Wyatt, will be baptized today at the 8:30 service. Sponsors are Andrew & Krystina Weiss.

Next Sunday we will be collecting Mites for the LWML Mission Grants. The large mite box will be in the narthex. Thank you.

Snowbirds– If you are going south for the winter please call, email, or stop in at the office with your winter address and the dates that you will be away so we can send you the Epistle. Thank you.

Thank you for your support of the women’s ministry Schwan’s fundraiser.  You helped us achieve the matching funds of $100. For the next 82 days until January 17 you can continue to place orders that will benefit the LWML. 5% of  your order will be given back to us. Every little bit helps!

 “Light in Darkness” is the theme of the 2018 Fall Choral Concert benefiting Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance. The concert will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, 2-4 pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church. All donations collected during the concert will go to fund Good Neighbor programs. Last year Good Neighbor assisted over 2000 Story County households with rent, utility, gasoline, or food.

Discover how you can help fight the problem of sex trafficking! “A Night of Hope”, an event to inform and equip anyone concerned about this problem will be held Tues, Nov. 13, 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Cornerstone Church, 56829 U.S. Hwy 69 in Ames. The event is free, but RSVP is requested for planning purposes to local.cornerstonelife.com/wings. See the poster on the “community” bulletin board for more details. We heard from this organization during the adult Bible class a few weeks ago.
