RALLY DAY – TODAY Sunday school begins! 3 year-olds, 3rd graders and 7th graders will receive their Bibles during the worship services!

We have a wonderful outreach here at St. Paul with our preschool. One of the best ways we can support our preschool’s families is through prayer. We would like to have a church family praying regularly for each preschool family. That’s it!!!  Just pray!  Please sign up on the bulletin board and a preschool family will be given to you to include in your prayers.

The Book to Know group will meet Sept 13, 7:00 pm at Shirley Tice’s home to discuss “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hanna.  Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

Family Service Quilters will meet on Thursday, Sept. 13th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Bring a sack lunch and join us.

LWML Iowa West District Fall Retreat will be held Sept 22 at Mission Central. Registration is $15. Details and registration forms are on the bulletin board-register soon, as the barn only holds 160.  We will be carpooling, so sign up if you would like to carpool.

10% of your bill at Texas Road House is donated back to the church on any Sunday when you bring the current Sunday bulletin and show it to the restaurant. This is an ongoing fundraiser for all youth projects.

Don’t Forget! Meeting Today – September 9th! The Church Facilities Assessment Team and Gary Landhauser from Novak Design Group, PLC will be sharing the results of our study and potential changes to our current church facilities and property. This will be an informational meeting and not a voters’ meeting which means we will not be making any voter decisions or deciding on options. The purpose is to gather the thoughts and opinions of our members to help the Facilities Team and Board of Directors determine the next steps to take moving forward. A free meal will be served at the beginning of the meeting.  Child care will also be available. Please plan to attend today.

New Photo Directory – Photography sessions will be held October 2 thru 6 (2:00 to 8:30 p.m.) and are now available to be scheduled on-line. A free family portrait will be provided following the session as well as the opportunity to purchase additional photo packages. Schedule today to reserve your preferred time.

Our Wednesday morning Bible study led by Pastor Jenks kicks off the fall with a short 3-week study. Come explore the intriguing Song of Solomon. We meet Wednesday mornings 10:30-11:30 in the fellowship hall. Sept. 12: chapters 3-5.

ATTENTION PARENTS and YOUTH in 6th – 12th grade. District Youth Gatherings are coming up. Registration is open and the Board of Youth would like to invite you to a meeting this Wednesday, August 29th at 7:30 (following Midweek Kick-off) to discuss the gatherings and registrations. Bell Choir and Parish Choir practices begin Tuesday, Sept. 11th at 6:30 pm (bells) and 7:30 pm (choir). New ringers and singers are encouraged to come and join our wonderful musical groups.

Missional Communities Fall Kickoff! There is exciting news regarding our fall kickoff of Missional Communities. If you have not yet taken the opportunity to join a small group, you will be able to sign up for one on September 16. will hear from numerous members about how being in a group has been a blessing to them in their Walk with Jesus at Bible class on the 9th and at both services on the 16th. will be available to answer all questions. list of group leaders and times when their small group meets will be available. Enjoy your Walk with Jesus!

The Camp Okoboji work weekend is Sept 27-29. We would love to have more people join us to help the camp with maintenance projects. Sign up on the bulletin board. The camp will provide meals and lodging. Questions? Contact Ron Coy at 231-1041.
