Announcements:
The Book to Know group will meet July 12, 7:00 pm at Gretchen Zitterich’s home to discuss “In the Presence of My Enemies” by Gracia Burnham. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.
JOINING JESUS ON HIS MISSION — LAYETTE DRIVE
The Board of Human Care is collecting the following items for babies whose moms came to Informed Choice for counseling:
* Diapers – newborn size
* Wipes
* Onesies or sleepers in a neutral color (no pink or blue please!)
* Receiving blankets or gauze blankets
There is a display in the narthex where you can place your donated items. Bless you for helping these new moms!
Spring is finally here and many coats and jackets have been left in the coatroom. Please check to see if one of them is yours. Thank you.
Youth– It is time to think about attending Camp Okoboji this summer. Several youth are interested in attending and we would love to have more. See the display in the narthex for dates and more info. Do not let the cost deter you. Funds are available to help with the cost. Talk to Carla Murphy for more info.
Just a reminder, our LWML IA West District Convention at Okoboji is coming up. Get your reservations in soon ($25 by May 14; $30 after May 14). Registration forms are on the bulletin board. See you all there June 28th thru 30th!
Family Service will host their spring luncheon on Thursday, May 24th, at 12:00 noon. Everyone is invited to join us. Food will be provided. Please come if you can.
Plant Sale- We will have some extra flowers for purchase on the pickup day on May 12. Proceeds benefit LWML mission offering and convention fees.
Do you like working with youth or want to try? The Board of Youth is looking for a few more people to serve on our committee for the 2018-19 term. are also still in search of a vice chair for that same term. If questions or interested, contact Carla Murphy or come visit us at the next Kingdom Workers meeting at 7:00 pm on May 7 at the church!
The Board of Evangelism is once again saving plastic grocery bags to benefit our ongoing support for Camp Okoboji. You may drop off your plastic grocery bags in the collection bin in the east entryway. Thanks in advance.
