Love and Kindness Event February 11 On Sunday, February 11, youth and Human Care are teaming up to make cookies and cards and then deliver them to some of our church shut-ins. We will meet at the church at 1pm to decorate cookies and make cards and then divide into groups to make the deliveries and visits. All are welcome to join us to help spread a little love and kindness.

Ash Wednesday (Feb 14) will be here soon and so will the Soup and Pie supper.  Sign up NOW to bring your favorite soup or pie.  The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board.

It’s Lutheran Witness Renewal Time! The current list is posted on the bulletin board.  February 25 is the deadline to place your order. If you want to continue to get the magazine, mark an OK next to your name and put your check for $22.67 in the office mailbox. This price includes the insert from Iowa District West. The Book to Know group will meet Feb 8, 7:00 pm at Karen Griffin’s home to discuss “Her Daughter’s Dream” by Francine Rivers. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

Family Service Quilters will meet on Thursday, February 8th, at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for a Thrivent Action Team Event. Thrivent T-Shirts and bring a sack lunch. join us.

More cold weather is coming! Please bring cold weather items for the homeless and school children. We need warm hats, gloves/mittens, scarves and socks. They can be gently used or new and all sizes. They will be taken to the men’s homeless shelter and Northwood and Kate Mitchell Schools.  Please put them in the Hope container. Thank you for your generosity.

The board of Evangelism is sponsoring a night out with the Lady Cyclones on February 17 at 3 pm. If you’re interested in taking in the game, there is a sign-up sheet hanging on the bulletin board in the narthex.

The Board of Evangelism is seeking your help. We are currently looking for members to join our board. If the Board of Evangelism doesn’t appeal to you, then we invite you to check out any of the other Kingdom Worker boards here at St. Paul. All of our boards would be grateful for any new members. Please pray on this and if you’re interested just ask an elder for help to put you in contact with someone. Thank you!

After leading our praise team from its very start, director Joan I. is stepping down. Please share your words of thanks with Joan for all that she has done! We are now in an active search for a new praise team director. The director will lead weekly practices, help select music, and oversee the praise team in worship one Sunday a month. There is an appreciation stipend for these services. To ask questions or to receive more information, please speak with Pastor Jenks or Greg Gebhart.
