Today is LWML Mite Sunday.  Please help support the mission grants of the LWML by placing your donation in the large Mite box.

SHARE THE FUN of Adventureland   Discounted Adventureland tickets now good through June 30th! There are still discounted tickets available for $22 each – a savings over $20 per ticket. Admission gets you in the park for unlimited rides any weekend in May or both the park and Adventure Bay in June. Contact the office or Carla Murphy for tickets or more info.

Women’s Bible study –  May through August, the women’s Bible study group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays (same as the men’s group).  We are doing individual studies, so come and join us for one or for all.  We meet at 5:45 pm in the church basement. 

Please check the church directory in the narthex to make sure your contact information is correct.  Many people are getting rid of their land lines, so please make sure we have a correct phone number for you.  Many people are including their email addresses, so please consider if you would like your email address added.   Thank you.

SOME HISTORY TRIVIA ABOUT THE LWML:  At the first LWML convention in 1943, delegates approved using $15,000 in mite offerings to help fund construction of a building for Christ Church for the Deaf in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1987, the national mite goal was $1,000,000. In 2015, the national mite goal reached $2,000,000. We are serving the Lord with gladness.

“Weddings in Small Town Iowawill be presented June 11 at 2 pm in the fellowship Hall by the Slater Historical Society. spouses will be the honored guests. The Women’s Ministry Team invites all ladies to bring a friend to enjoy this “wedding reception” as we look back at fond memories and view bridal attire from the last 100 years. If you have a vintage gown to display please contact Gretchen Zitterich at 515-201-7570.And YES, there will be wedding cake from the Dutch Oven Bakery!

We will start to collect some plastic grocery bags to be donated to Camp Okoboji. This is to help them save money on trash bags. Bags should be in decent shape meaning no big holes. If you are willing to help please contact Charles Ellis for more information.
