We are pleased to have Rev. Greg Finke, author of “Joining Jesus on His Mission” with us today as our guest preacher. Everyone is also invited to hear Rev. Finke at the adult Bible class.

An Invitation to Join Our Congregation… If you are not yet a member of our church, we would love for you to become one. If you are interested in learning more, please either speak with Pastor Jenks or check the “Desire to Join” box on the Care Card pad in your pew and be sure to include your phone number. Membership generally occurs in one of three ways: 1. transfer from another LCMS congregation,  2. profession of faith (if you have previously belonged to the LCMS), or 3. taking a brief membership class or independent study about the doctrines of our church.

Adventureland Fun Days!  Join other St. Paul families on April 30, May 1, 7 or 8 for fun at Adventureland.   Tickets are $22 each.  Sign up on the bulletin board.  All youth must be accompanied by an adult.

For the Wednesday Bible study on Isaiah, please read Isaiah chapters 31-35 for our next session on April 6.

St. Paul will be visiting the Perry Lutheran Home on Tuesday, April 12th.We need to bring 5 cakes, and we will provide a devotion and lead the residents in singing. Can you join us or provide a cake? The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board.

SIGN UP NOW, don’t be left sitting on the bench!!! Dinner and a Movie….April 9th, 5:30pm…. This year Conversational Dinners and Women of St Paul are “teaming up” for a great evening.  Our feature film is “Woodlawn”, the true story of the young men on the Woodlawn Football Team,  and how God’s love is used,  even on a football field, to bring the people of a troubled southern city together.  Our “Team Chef”, Duane Faas, is busy planning  tailgate fare worthy of the Super Bowl.  A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Sign up now, enjoy some great food and an All American Movie.  Adults..$10.  Child…$5. Proceeds to be given to support the St. Paul Youth.

Our Book to Know group will meet April 14 at 7:00 pm at the home of Marlene Johnson to discuss “The Sign Painter” by Davis Bunn.  Everyone is invited to read this book and join us. We will be choosing books for the coming year, so start compiling your list.

Youth Sunday is April 10 for BOTH services. We need students in grades 1-12 to be greeters, ushers, readers, create bulletin covers, be ensemble members, and to sing. Reading parts will be handed out soon. Practices for all will be Saturday, April 2 and 9 from 9-11 am.  For questions, please contact Carla Murphy.

THE MIGHTY MITE MINUTE The MITE MINUTE has been delayed from the last Sunday in March which was Easter to TODAY–  April 3.

Adopt a Garden- The St Paul Lutheran Church garden is located at Brookside Park right next to the swinging bridge on the west side. During the past few years, Tom and Judy have signed up to take the lead on getting a sign-up sheet for volunteers to help clean up the garden in the spring and volunteers to assist with planting and mulching the garden. Tom and Judy are wondering if there would be an individual or couple or family that would like to take the lead on heading up the St Paul Lutheran Church “Adopt a Garden”. We would be willing to assist and help with what we have done in the past years. We have until April 4th to let the City know if we be participating this summer. Please contact Tom or Judy at 450-4039 or talk to them at church if you would be willing to take over this very rewarding program.

EASTER BREAKFAST THANK YOU!!!!  To everyone who cracked eggs, cooked eggs, decorated, baked or shopped, we at St. Paul thank you.  When many hands work together, the task not only becomes easy, it is lots of fun.  Again this year we had so many people take part in making it a special morning at St. Paul, it just seems to get better every year. A very special thank you to Phil and Alberta Voge for donating the sausage and the ham, and to Lisa and Thomas Wilson and our youth for being our servers.  The freewill offering will help support their trip to the 2016 Youth Gathering this summer.

Bring a dish to share and join us for the Senior Fellowship Potluck on Wednesday, April 13 at 11:30 am.

Today is Mite Box Sunday. Please help the LWML reach their new Mite goal of $2,000,000 by dropping your extra coins or bills in the large Mite box. All those extra coins and bills are very much appreciated. Thanks.
