Announcements:

Let’s go bowling! All LYF members (grades 1-12) are invited for a meal and bowling on Wednesday, Jan. 13. We will eat at the church at 5:30 and then go to Perfect Games. Permission forms are due TODAY. Parents– please pick up at Perfect Games at 8 pm.

The “Book to Know” group will meet Feb 25 at the home of Pam Hagan to discuss “The Veritas Conflict” by Shaunti Feldhahn. Everyone is invited to read this exciting book and join us for the discussion.

The Human Care Board is collecting warm hats and gloves, as well as socks, for needy men, women, and children. You may place your donations in the labeled bin in the east coat area. Thank you!

The Blood Drive will be held at the church’s parking lot in Life Serve’s Blood-Mobile on Tuesday, January 26th, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. – For those people who are interested in signing up, or who have questions, contact Brian Weber at (515) 450-2358.

Psalms & Spirituals with the National Lutheran Choir Join the National Lutheran Choir by artistic director and organist, David Cherwien, for a unique blend of choral music, spoken reflections and congregational hymnody. Experience the artistry of the National Lutheran Choir as they perform songs of faith, and join together in singing well-known – and perhaps new – hymns with the choir! William E. Fischer who served St. Paul as pastor in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s will be turning 90 years old this February 14th, 2016. His family would like to shower him with cards for this milestone birthday. Our family would be grateful if those who remember him would send cards to help him celebrate. Thank you. Youth Sub Sandwich sales begin next Sunday and continue through Jan 31. Subs will be ready to pick up on Super Bowl Sunday – February 7th! For $10 you can choose your way to make the sub – using Turkey or Ham, topped with American cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion. Make sure you get yours ordered! Also, prepare for our annual Super Bowl Bake Sale – Sunday, February 7th! All proceeds will help our youth attend the LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans in July.

The LWML is still collecting ink cartridges and cell phones for recycling. But please note: cell phones must include the charger. Thank you. Place in the box east of the fellowship hall.
