Are you missing any dishes??  We are cleaning the kitchen and have found several items (bowls, containers, silverware, baskets, etc.) that may be yours. These items will be on a table in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday for you to claim it if it is yours.

Senior Fellowship & Potluck is on Feb 11 at 11:30 am. All seniors are invited to join us– Bring a dish to share.

Thrivent Members-Please note that Thrivent Choice Dollars for 2014 must be designated by March 31, 2015.

Let’s Dance… Put on your dancing shoes…Plan on showing us your moves at the St. Paul Valentine’s Dance on Sunday, February 15th, sponsored by Conversational Dinners.  We will begin spinning the tunes at 6:00.  For those of you who don’t dance, we will have trivia and cards available.   Please bring a snack or dessert and a beverage of your choice.  Please contact Karen and Dennis Griffin or Drue and Ellen Sander.  $10 per couple will be collected that evening for our DJ’s.

Please give prayerful consideration to becoming either a Sunday School teacher or Midweek teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. You may tag-team with another person so you only teach for ½ of the year. Midweek begins at 4:30 and is over at 5:30 on Wednesdays. This is a great opportunity to share your love of Christ with our young members.

Jesus said, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant…For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom” (Mark 10:43-45). Your congregation is looking for ONE MORE GROUP to sign up to provide and serve a Wednesday evening Lenten supper on March 4.Suppers are served at 6:00 pm prior to the 7:00 pm Lenten worship services. Please consider signing up your family or group of families to provide and serve a supper. As we think of Jesus, who came to serve us and to sacrifice His life for us, what a great way to serve others and to give like Christ did! To sign up to provide and serve a Lenten supper, please contact the church office.

Sunday School Mission Project- This Spring we will be collecting offerings during Sunday School and directing them to Camp Okoboji to assist with replacement and enhancing their recreational items. Specifically we have targeted collecting around $400 for a new kayak and paddles.

Tired of cooking and sick of eating out? Papa Murphy’s pizzas offer easy take-n-bake alternatives to both of these. We have Papa Murphy’s coupon cards, each worth $27 in peel-off coupons, on sale for only $5 each! The cards will be available in the narthex on Feb 8th and 15th. All proceeds support our kids attending the 2016 National Youth Gathering.

A bonus check for $353.76 has been received for the Younker’s coupon book sales and has been sent to Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance. Thank you to all who participated.

Hey youth we need your vote! We want your input for the February event! We took a mini survey at the Perfect Games event in January but it was a close count so we would like your vote. Even if you gave us your input at Perfect Games, you may email and let us know what event/day works best for you.  The choices are Roller Skating at Spinning Wheels in Ogden on a Sunday from 2-4p or Ice Skating at the Ames Ice Arena on a Saturday or Sunday from 2-4p. Dates would be either February 15 or 21. The Board of Youth will pay for any admission and skate rental fees. You would need to bring money for any concessions. To “register” your vote, please call or email  Carla Murphy at 450-5180 or cjm95@ameritech.net or text 451-2800 (or have a parent do it).  Then look for announcements for the results. Deadline to submit your vote is TODAY, February 8.

WOOD CUTTERS, LOG SPLITTERS, TREE TRIMMERS wanted for February 7 and February 28 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. to help clean up trees and brush in the Camp Okoboji canal.  Please bring chain saws, pruning shears, log splitters, pole saws, tractor and loader.  If someone could come and keep saws sharpened in a heated shop it would be very helpful. Camp will provide refreshments for coffee breaks and noon dinner in the Ginny DeWall Dining Hall.  Lodging can be arranged for Friday and Saturday nights “at no charge”, if needed.  Please call Camp Okoboji at (712) 337-3325 and register your name and what equipment you will be able to provide. We also want the cook to have food for everyone.   Leave contact information in case inclement weather should cause postponement or cancellation.  We are trying to make the approach to camp as presentable as possible for our 75th Anniversary.  THANK YOU!  If you are unable to attend, please pray for the safety of those who do.

Sub Sandwich / Bake Sale Success! Thank you very much to those who supported the youth sub sandwich sales and the bake sale! The youth raised over $800 from these events, with all of the proceeds going towards travel expenses associated with the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans in 2016!Also, a special thanks to Fareway North, Lincoln Center HyVee, and the families and individuals who helped to make these events successful! We truly appreciate your support of the youth!
