Announcements:

2018-2019 Service schedules are in your member mailboxes. Please let the office know of any trades or changes. Thanks.

NEXT SUNDAY we will be collecting Mites for the LWML Mission Grants. The large mite box is in the narthex. Thank you.

The Book to Know group will meet July 12, 7:00 pm at Gretchen Zitterich’s home to discuss “In the Presence of My Enemies” by Gracia Burnham.  Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

LWML Mite Sunday will be the first Sunday of each month, beginning in July.  Too aid in the transition, the large mite box will be out the first and last Sundays for a couple of months.

Have you thought about serving on the Altar Guild or are you interested in learning more about the Altar Guild? We are looking for more members. If you are interested or have questions, please feel free to talk to any of the Altar Guild members or chairman, Judy Peter.

Please check the sample church directory in the narthex to make sure your contact information is correct.  Many people are getting rid of their land lines, so please make sure we have a correct phone number for you.  Many people are including their email addresses, so please consider if you would like your email address added. Thank you.

On Communion Sundays we now offer gluten-free wafers as an option. If you would like the gluten-free wafer, please point to the special container in the center of the tray of wafers, or say “gluten-free” to the elder distributing the wafers.

Youth– It is NOT TOO LATE to think about attending Camp Okoboji this summer. Several youth are interested in attending and we would love to have more. See the display in the narthex for dates and more info. Do not let the cost deter you. Funds are available to help with the cost. Talk to Carla Murphy for more info.

The LWML IA West District Convention at Okoboji is June 28 to 30. Items that we will be taking as an ingathering will be: new washcloths, travel sized toothpaste, travel sized deodorant, new socks and underwear for men or children, and $5 McDonald’s gift cards (which will be given to veterans). A tub for these items is in the east entryway– look for the convention logo. For security reasons, the gift cards may be put in the office mailbox.

Do you like working with youth or want to try? The Board of Youth is looking for a few more people to serve on our committee for the 2018-19 term. are also still in search of a vice chair for that same term. If questions or interested, contact Carla Murphy!

Free will offering at the door today- In thanks to God, our District is gathering a special thank offering to be shared at the District Convention this month! This offering will be used for the District’s Ministry Excellence Fund – Education Debt Assistance, to help professional rostered church workers in our District who are carrying debt from attending seminary or one of the Concordia Universities to become a professional church worker. At St. Paul, we have been blessed with Thomas Wilson, who was blessed by the education he received at Concordia University, Seward. All congregations in the District have been encouraged to participate in this special freewill offering. Here at St. Paul we will gather gifts to this offering in a freewill basket at the door at the end of worship services today, June 17.If you want to contribute, you may place your offering in the basket as you leave today’s service, or you may mail a check to Iowa District West LCMS labeled District Convention Offering. The address is 1317 Tower Dr, Fort Dodge, IA 50501.

10% of your bill at Texas Road House is donated back to the church on any Sunday when you bring the current Sunday bulletin and show it to the restaurant. This is an ongoing fundraiser for all youth projects.
