Announcements:

On Sunday, April 12, a SAFE training session will be offered at 9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church.  All volunteers (adults and teenagers) at St. Paul who work with our children and/or youth need to become SAFE certified by completing a SAFE application and attending a SAFE training session.  New members at St. Paul or anyone who may help with summer Sunday School or VBS is encouraged to attend this April 12 session.  Our goal at St. Paul is to have all our members SAFE certified.  SAFE applications will be available at the training or by contacting Ardy Ulrichson, 292-5575 or aulrichson@mchsi.com.

Youth Sunday in April – this is your time to let God’s light shine through you! We will need all available youth to participate in the special Youth Sunday on April 26. This is a Sunday when the youth are in charge of both church services. If you have ideas or something special you would like to do or share as part of this Sunday,  please contact Wayne Hagemoser or Carla Murphy.

EASTER PRAYER VIGIL – HOLY SATURDAY, APRIL 4th     A long-standing tradition at St. Paul, Holy Saturday is observed with a 9-hour prayer vigil (6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) in the church sanctuary.  This vigil is divided into 15-minute time periods in which to meditate and pray—you (and family members) are invited to sign up for one or more of these periods.  All members (youth and adults) are encouraged to participate in the Holy Saturday prayer vigil on April 4th, Holy Saturday of Easter weekend, in the church sanctuary.  The signup board is located on a table in the west narthex.  Come and spend 15 minutes of your time in this special prayer and meditation time with your Lord.  Prayer request cards are located next to the signup board for those who wish to submit special prayers for a loved one, neighbor, friend, co-worker, etc. “After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.”  Job 42:10

The Good Neighbor Irish Fest fundraiser scheduled for later this month has been cancelled. The band was unable to perform on that date. Look for this event to return next year!

St Paul Preschool is in need of a treasurer.  The work can be done online from your home.  We use Quicken books. Please prayerfully consider helping out this great program.  Please contact DeAnn Barnes or Lori Jenks for more information.

St. Paul Easter Breakfast Sign Up Breaks Record…Wow, the sign up sheet for Easter Breakfast was filled in record time this year. A “huge” Thank You to everyone who has volunteered to help with this year’s breakfast. This annual event sponsored by Women of the Word could not serve everyone so quickly and run so smoothly if it were not for our bevy of helpers who sign up to help to do everything from decorating the tables to baking the delicious pastries, and let’s not forget those hard working “egg crackers and egg chefs”.    A very special “thank you” to Phil Voge for donating the sausage and ham, and Norma Pietsch and her group of “designing women” who created our festive table decorations. As the old saying goes, “many hands make the work go quickly”.  The free will offering will be donated to the Youth in support of their trip to the National Youth Gathering in 2016.

Casting Call for our Mystery Dinner…A murder, a mystery, fantastic grub… all add up to a knee bustin’, belly laughin’ good evening. Tickets are now available for our “Murder at the Deadwood Saloon”, featuring our St. Paul Players.  On Apr 11th, the likes of Mitch Maverick, Sally Star and others gather to test their poker skills and claim the “jackpot”. Get in on the fun, help solve the mystery. Put on your western duds and arrive at 5:15 pm here at the saloon (fellowship hall). Grub is served at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $25/couple or $12.50/ single. Sign up on the bulletin board or see Ellen Sander or Vickie Roach for tickets.

Thank you to the Altar Guild and Jimmy’s BBQ for providing the delicious meal on Wednesday, March 18.
