There is a need for English teachers to lead classes this summer at Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames. Right now we have a lot of openings. Classes will be June 18 – July 23. Our schedule is flexible! Materials will also be provided, and class sizes are 3-8 students which makes it relaxed and laid-back. No training is necessary, If you speak English, you are qualified, as students just want to practice pronunciation. If anyone is interested, contact Memorial Lutheran Church (515.292.5005). Thanks, Hannah Moore, coordinator

St. Paul has the opportunity to plant & maintain the flower garden by the bridge at Brookside Park. We took care of this garden last year in memory of friend Dave Cavanaugh. need to notify the city soon so if you are willing to spent some time playing in the dirt , please contact Tom & Judy Peter at tpeterames@gmail.com or the church office.

Are you an adult who has never been confirmed? Would you like to learn more about the core beliefs of the Christian church, drawn from Scriptures? Would you like to dig deeper into the foundations of our faith and the teachings which come from Christ? We are working to make plans for a new adult confirmation class. The class would involve workbook lessons you complete at home and group discussions with Pastor and other participants in the class. You may attend the class simply to review the material and to refresh your faith, or you may attend with a goal of being confirmed. If you are an adult who has an interest in this, please speak to Pastor Jenks very soon.

May 22 – Family Service Potluck beginning at noon. All women are invited — you don’t need to bring anything.Food and table service will be provided. If you are able to attend, please RSVP to Marilyn Hagemoser at 232-2807 or by e-mail at wayneh@iastate.edu
