2018 Offering Envelopes are ready for pick-up in the narthex. Please pick them up promptly.

October 29th-Trunk-or-Treat from 2:00-3:30 pm. Join in the fun by decorating a trunk for this fun family activity. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the date.

It is time to sign up to receive the LWML Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly for the next year.  The Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly is the official publication of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and is full of inspirational stories, mission updates, convention news and more. If you would like to receive the Quarterly in your mailbox next year (begins spring 2018) please sign up in the narthex. The cost is $5.00 for the 1 year publication. Envelopes are located by the sign-up sheet for your payment. TODAY is the last day to sign up.

The Reformation” Order this book at a reduced price of $22.49. Sign-up on the poster in the narthex, place your check in the office mailbox. Last day to order is TODAY, October 15. “The Reformation” is an illustrated and engagingly written overview of this amazing time of change and renewal in the Christian Church. There is a sample book in the office for you to preview.

TODAY during adult Bible study between services, noted Lutheran author, lecturer and historian, Dr. Paul Maier, will address questions you might have pertaining to church and Biblical history. Please bring your questions and join us! ~The Stewardship Committee

Campfire Night The Family Life office is putting together a FAMILY friendly campfire night. And all families AND congregational members are invited to attend! Sign up for the Campfire Night will begin next week! But mark your calendars for Saturday, November 4th. 6:30 – 9:30 PM at McFarland Park. See Thomas for details.

Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child kicks off TODAY! Make sure you pick up your box from the narthex to help share the love of Christmas to those around the world! If you have questions, see Thomas.

Beta Sig, Lutheran Fraternity at ISU will be holding their annual philanthropy brunch event TODAY, from 9am – 1pm at their house, 2132 Sunset Drive. All proceeds from this event benefit Habitat for Humanity. Tickets are $6 at the door.

On Communion Sundays we will now offer gluten-free wafers as an option. If you would like the gluten-free wafer, please point to the special container in the center of the tray of wafers, or say “gluten-free” to the elder distributing the wafers.

Time to fill the tubs, Let’s fill the tubs with new underwear and socks for all ages. These will go to either Bethesda Clothes Closet or HOPE Ministries in Des Moines.
