We would love to fill a table –  or two. To join the fun St. Paul table, sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Bible Study on Romans continues this Wednesday, from 10:30-11:30 am! Join us as we explore the book that had the greatest impact on Luther launching the Reformation. For the October 4th class, please read Chapters 9-10.

It is time to sign up to receive the LWML Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly for the next year.  The Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly is the official publication of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and is full of inspirational stories, mission updates, convention news and more.  If you would like to receive the Quarterly in your mailbox next year (begins spring 2018) please sign up in the narthex.  The cost is $5.00 for the 1 year publication. Envelopes are located by the sign-up sheet for your payment.

The Reformation” Order this book at a reduced price of $22.49. Sign-up on the poster in the narthex, place your check in the office mailbox. Last day to order is October 15. Many people recognize the name Martin Luther when they think of the Reformation, but this era was filled with other fascinating personalities and dramatic changes across every aspect of human life throughout the Western world. “The Reformation” is an illustrated and engagingly written overview of this amazing time of change and renewal in the Christian Church and helps the reader sort through the complex chain of events that shook both church and state to their very foundations. There is a sample book in the office for you to preview if you like.

LWML Celebration next Sunday! Wear your purple and bring your “noisy offering”. The theme chosen for LWML Sunday 2017 is “Be Ready to Confess Jesus”. LWML Sunday is celebrated annually in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) churches. Come celebrate LWML Sunday with us.

Next Sunday being LWML/Women in Mission Sunday, you are especially invited to Fellowship and Bible Study hour. You need not bring your bibles, as we are expecting a guest speaker “from across the ocean”. She will bring information which you may not be aware of and you will be glad you stayed to hear her message.

The women in the St Paul Choir will be singing “Go Ye Into the World” on LWML Sunday, October 8th at both services. We sang the same song last year on LWML Sunday and some of the women joined us. If you are interested in singing with the women on the 8th, please let Judy know.

LYF meal and pumpkin decorating event. Wednesday, October 11 from 5:30-8 pm in the fellowship hall. Please see the sign-up sheet or email Carla Murphy if attending so we have enough pumpkins for everyone.
