Announcements:

Have you thought about serving on the Altar Guild or are you interested in learning more about the Altar Guild? We are looking for more members. If you are interested or have questions, please feel free to talk to any of the Altar Guild members or chairman, Judy Peter.

Women’s Bible study – In July, we will only meet once, on July 17. (same as the men’s group).  We are doing individual studies, so come and join us for one or for all.  We meet at 5:45 pm in the church basement.

Please check the church directory in the narthex to make sure your contact information is correct.  Many people are getting rid of their land lines, so please make sure we have a correct phone number for you.  Many people are including their email addresses, so please consider if you would like your email address added.   Thank you.

Are you working on your bucket list this summer? There are still party buckets available to take home and have a party. Some are coming back and are being reloaded for more fun! It’s a great way to build relationships with neighbors, co-workers, friends, family, etc. Give it a try.  Any questions? Call Janelle Swenson or Ellen Sander.

We are collecting plastic grocery bags to be donated to Camp Okoboji. This is to help them save money on trash bags. Bags should be in decent shape meaning no big holes. If you have questions, please contact Charles Ellis for more information.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL– Will be held July 30-Aug 2, 2017, from 6-8 pm. Registration forms will be in the July Epistle and in the narthex.  PLEASE sign-up to help with VBS on the bulletin board. Contact Carly Murphy for more information.

Save The Date!  We are very pleased that Reverend Greg Finke and Susan Finke will be joining us for the weekend of August 25.  They will lead a fun and informative training session on Saturday August 25 at the church.  They will show us how simple it is to disciple our family and friends the way Jesus disciples His family and friends in the gospels.   It is simpler than we think and a lot more fun!  In order to prepare for this great event, please review Reverend Finke’s first book “Joining Jesus on His Mission”.  In addition, Reverend Finke has just published his follow-up book “Joining Jesus: Show Me How.”  We encourage our St. Paul members to pick up a discounted copy of this new book at the church office and read it over the summer.  The discounted cost is just $10.

A big thank you to all members of the congregation who helped out with the pancake breakfast! Some individuals who deserve special recognition: Phil V., who supplied all breakfast sausages; Tom P., who hauled the griddle, supplied the pancake mix, and cooked sausages; Judy P., who ran to the store to get more pancake mix; Tanny L., Ryan L., Karen G., Steve J., and Keith F., who pitched in every way they could. Thank you very much! ~The Board of Human Care

Next Sunday will be our Mite Sunday.  Please bring your mites for missions.  Thank you.

VBS needs paper towel cardboard tubes for a craft. (Gift wrap tubes would work too).  Please place in the bin below the VBS display.

VBS set up will take place on Sunday, July 30 starting after second service. If available to help get things ready before VBS attendees arrive, many hands make light work!
