Women’s Bible study –  May through August, the women’s Bible study group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays (same as the men’s group).  We are doing individual studies, so come and join us for one or for all.  We meet at 5:45 pm in the church basement.

Please check the church directory in the narthex to make sure your contact information is correct.  Many people are getting rid of their land lines, so please make sure we have a correct phone number for you.  Many people are including their email addresses, so please consider if you would like your email address added.   Thank you.

SOME HISTORY TRIVIA ABOUT THE LWML:  The LWML pledge written by Rev. Harry Fricke was adopted as the official pledge in 1955. “In fervent gratitude for the Savior’s dying love and His blood-bought gift of redemption, we dedicate ourselves to Him with all that we are and have; and in obedience to His call for workers in the harvest fields, we pledge Him our willing service wherever and whenever He has need of us. We consecrate to our Savior our hands to work for Him, our feet to go on His errands, our voice to sing His praises, our lips to proclaim His redeeming love, our silver and our gold to extend His kingdom, our will to do His will, and every power of our life to the great task of bringing the lost and the erring into eternal fellowship with Him. Amen.” This pledge reminds us of the essence of our reasons for being in mission and our pledge to commitment to our Lord.

“Weddings in Small Town Iowawill be presented TODAY, June 11, at 2 pm in the fellowship Hall by the Slater Historical Society.  NO PREVIOUS RSVP NEEDED. Surviving spouses will be the honored guests. The Women’s Ministry Team invites all ladies to bring a friend enjoy this “wedding reception” as we look back at fond memories and view bridal attire from the last 100 years. And YES, there will be wedding cake from the Dutch Oven Bakery!

We are collecting plastic grocery bags to be donated to Camp Okoboji. This is to help them save money on trash bags. Bags should be in decent shape meaning no big holes. If you have questions, please contact Charles Ellis for more information.

Reminder– Bring your Bethesda Food Pantry Donations Next Sunday.
