Announcements:

The Book to Know group will meet Apr 27 at Shirley Tice’s home to discuss “Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe” by Max Lucado. Everyone is invited to read this book and join us for the discussion.

If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to offer, we need members to sign up on the altar flower chart that is located on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Quilters will meet Thursday April 13th from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. This will be our “Action Team” event. Wear your t-shirt.  Bring a sack lunch. is welcome.

EASTER PROCESSION- Our celebration of Christ’s resurrection will soon be here. Would you like to praise the Lord as part of the Easter Procession on April 16 at the 7:30 am service? The furnishings of the chancel are removed during the Maundy Thursday service in preparation for Good Friday. Forty (40) men, women and children are needed to carry in the lilies, communion ware, paraments, and candles in this Easter service. If you want to be a part of the Easter Procession, please sign-up on the display table in the west entryway. If you have any questions, please contact Judy Peter, Altar Chair.

HOLY SATURDAY – PRAYER VIGIL  All members (youth and adults) are encouraged to participate in the annual Easter Prayer Vigil on Saturday, April 15th, in the church sanctuary. The sign-up board for this 10-hour vigil is located in the west entryway. The vigil begins promptly at 6:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Special personal prayer requests and meditation materials will be available to aid you during your vigil period. Only a few slots remain.

Check out the fun camps this summer at Camp Okoboji– There are some new ones. The Board of Youth has funds set aside to help finance any St. Paul youth attending any of these camps. Other additional sources include the IDW, the Camp Auxiliary and Okoboji Bucks through our Evangelism Board. Contact the board of youth for more information.

Easter Breakfast Sign-up Sheet is now available.    If you haven’t had the experience of helping make our Easter Breakfast special, now is the time to sign up to join the many people that it takes to get ready for a very special breakfast.  We need egg crackers, table decorators, and general help on Saturday morning.  For you early risers, come and help prepare the eggs, mix the fruit, and put the finishing touches on our breakfast. Everyone that pitches in is a vital part of making our Easter Breakfast so successful every year.  If you have any questions, please contact Ellen Sander, druellen@hotmail.com

Youth Sunday Calling all youth in grades 1-12. Here’s your chance to use your time and talents to create a bulletin cover, greet members, usher, lead the worship service, play music in the ensemble, be in a skit and more! Youth Sunday is April 23 and practices will be April 19 at 6pm (after midweek and a provided meal) and then on April 22 from 9-11am. Look for more info in emails or contact Carla Murphy.

SHARE THE FUN of Adventureland  Let’s all join in on “Sharing the Fun” of Adventureland during their substance-free weekends. St. Paul members and preschool families who sign up in advance will receive a discount on tickets of only $22 each (a $20 savings). Ticket holders will have their choice of attending one of the following dates: April 29, April 30, May 6 or May 7. Look for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Special Vocal Anthem for Easter Sunday!– Mary Nelson, our former music director, has volunteered to come get a vocal anthem ready for our Easter Sunday services! All interested singers are invited to come join the special vocal choir for Easter Sunday. Mary will be here on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 pm to lead practices. New participants are welcome to attend. Join us on the 11th    prepare for a joyful Easter morn!

Flowers for Spring! Women’s Ministry/LWML ready for your flower orders. Pick up an order blank from the Narthex & take time to decide what you would like. Orders must be in by April 30th and delivery will be the Friday before Mother’s Day. Flowers can be picked up on Saturday, May 13th– time to be determined. Funds will provide 3 full scholarships to send women to the LWML national convention in Albuquerque, provide gift cards for needy, and funds for the mission offerings. Questions? Ask Tanny Latuska

Team Members Needed– The Board of Evangelism is currently looking for people the would be interested in joining our board. Adults and youth are welcome to serve. We meet once a month on the first Monday of the month. More importantly, we are looking for someone willing to step up to be the vice-chair for the 2017-18 year. LWML Mite goal of $2 million has been met! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Mites over the last 2 years. From April 2015-March 2017 St. Paul has contributed $3293.96. Praise God!
