TODAY we will be collecting Mites for the LWML Mission Grants. February featured Grant-  $60,000 –-  To continue to move forward at the Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska Centers with its mission to build and strengthen individual, family, and community life, beginning with pregnant mothers, infants, and children under age five. The biennium ends March 31, so this will be the last mite offering from St. Paul that will have time to reach the national office to be included.

If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to offer, we need members to sign up on the altar flower chart that is located on the bulletin board in the narthex. We are also still in need of a flower coordinator. Contact Judy Peter if interested.

We have just a few copies left of Greg Finke’s book, “Joining Jesus on His Mission”. They are $10.  Contact the office if you would like one.

HELP NEEDED: The Women’s Ministry Team is asking for volunteers to help with childcare during the American Heritage Girls . A helper is need to assist with the care of 2- 8 of the leaders children between the hours of 4 pm and 5:15 pm two Mondays per month. What a great opportunity to Join Jesus in His Mission as we share God’s love with the leaders’ children! Sign-up on the church bulletin board.  Thank you.

Give Jesus 5 – In our daily walk with Jesus, Pastor Finke explained it is critical that we share with each other what Jesus has been up to in our daily walk with Him.  The discipleship team and the Board of Elders, each time we meet, spend a short period of time at the start of the meeting to share how Jesus is working with us in our daily life.  The elders spend five minutes or so at the start of each meeting where we Give Jesus 5. We encourage any type of gathering where two or three of us are gathered together to do something similar – at your homes, Bible study groups, church boards, music practices, etc. Please share your “Walk with Jesus” moments as you gather together.  Talk about how you see Jesus at work in your daily lives.  Talk about where you see His opportunities to share His love with those around you.  Jesus is on the move!

Are you Walking with Jesus and joining His mission? Do you have an experience to share? Check the March Epistle for a real life story!

Mark your calendar & also the sign-up sheet for this Wednesday night’s Lenten Soup & Pie Supper. Ash Wednesday begins the Lenten season. Proceeds will be taken to the LWML Convention to be given towards the 75th Anniversary Mission Offering. ~WOSP/LWML

From Luke 18:35 we read: “As he drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.” The last known words of Martin Luther were found scratched on a slip of paper next to his death bed: “We are all beggars, this much is true.” All that we have is a gift of God. We are all beggars before Him. Knowing this can leave us with nothing but thankfulness in our hearts. Next Sunday, March 5, we will observe Loyalty Sunday, when the focus of our services will be acknowledging the gifts God has richly blessed us with, and looking inward as we consider how we can return gifts back to God through our monetary offerings. This is also the day for you to return your Time and Talent forms and financial pledge cards to help us plan for our new fiscal year beginning July 1. Thank you…the Stewardship Committee.
