Announcements:

Director of Music Ministry — Mary Nelson has been our Director of Music Ministry for the past fifteen years. Mary was part of the music program for 25 years at Bethesda before the Lord led her to St. Paul to lead our music program. The Lord has called her back to Bethesda to serve as their primary organist effective November 1. Mary has been a blessing to our congregation and when you have the opportunity over the next 45 days please share that with her.  We will begin immediately the process of filling the position of Director of Music Ministry. A group of individuals interested in our music program will be formed to lead the search. This group will be led by Paul Knop and Jon Buss from the Board of Elders. If you are interested in learning more about the position or know of a person who you think would be a good candidate contact Paul.Knop@zionsbank.com or jonconbuss@outlook.com.

The Book to Know group will meet Nov 10 at Lori Jenks’ home to discuss “Snow Day” by Bill Coffey. Everyone has plenty of time to read this book and join us for the discussion.

The Women’s Bible study will continue Monday evenings at 5:45 in the basement with our new Beth Moore study “The Patriarchs”. Books are available in the office for $5.00.

Youth Fellowship Event– Join us for Pumpkin Decorating and a Silly Supper at the church on Wednesday, October 12th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Please let the office know if you plan to attend.

If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to offer, we need members to sign up on the altar flower chart that is located on the bulletin board in the narthex. There are very few flowers for the altar through December. If you would like to volunteer for flowers, sign your name on the flower chart on the Sunday you would prefer. If you have any questions, you can contact Judy Peter or Athena Puck.

“Fall” Into Conversational Dinners on October 9th…”As Time Goes By” is this year’s theme as we gather at the home of Drue and Ellen Sander to celebrate the 1960’s.  We will kick off this year with a potluck dinner and an evening of 60’s trivia and fun.  So find those bell bottomed pants, Beatles albums, high school annuals, and your Mom’s favorite recipes and come join us.    If you are new to St. Paul, or you haven’t ever been to a conversational dinner, please consider this your invitation to join us.    RSVP to druellen@hotmail.com

Quilters will meet from 10:15 a.m. to 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 13th. Bring a sack lunch. Come and join us!
