At the Baptismal Font: Blaine Douglas Giese, son of Mike & Amber Giese, is being baptized today at the 10:30 am service. His sponsors are Levi & Jessica Moyer and Allan & Lori Giese.

We have the Joining Jesus on His Mission books by Greg Finke. This book tells you how to share Jesus’ love in everyday life. Pastor will lead a Bible study on this in the fall, so if you would like to read it over the summer you can purchase them for $10 from the office.

ANYONE CAN HELP by providing an item or two for the VBS dinner on August 2nd. The menu is walking tacos and cash donations are needed as well has some serving help. Take a look at the bulletin board sign-up sheet today. Thank you.

Help Feed My People at VBS-   VBS has 2 nights open yet that we are looking for a group of people to provide a meal for prior to VBS. Nights open are Monday, Aug 1 and Wednesday, Aug 3. Meals need to be ready to serve by 5:15. VBS will provide table service. See the sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board or contact Carla Murphy.

Septoberfest is less than 3 months away and the committee is working hard on planning. You all have heard about the bean bag toss games and I’m sure you are starting to practice. We need to have you sign up so we can get the beanbag boards ready.  If you have a board we can use, please let us know. There are sign up lists on the bulletin board for a variety of places we need your help or if there is something you want to do, let us know. ~Karen Griffin

On July 18, the Women’s Bible study will begin a new study. This study is on homosexuality.  What does God’s Word say? How are we to respond? This study was written by Rev. John Heckman for the LWML and has gone through complete doctrinal review. We meet Mondays at 5:45 pm in the basement.

Vacation Bible School- Ever wonder what it’s like to work on a farm? Well, Barnyard VBS isn’t a real farm but could use your help! We still need farmhand group guides (take kids from station to station), helpers for those guides, people to help set up for VBS on July 31 and take down on Aug 3 after VBS, help with preschool classes, bible story leader (one each night) story helpers, and provide and serve a meal. See the sign up on the bulletin board.

VBS donations/items to borrow If you are allowing VBS to borrow item(s) please put you name on it and bring to church by July 24 or contact Carla Murphy.
