Adventureland Fun Days!  Discounted Adventureland tickets now good through June 30.  Due to the park unable to open this past Saturday, April 30, they are extending the Substance-Free tickets through June 30. So if you have purchased your tickets already, you have more options to use them. If you would still like to purchase tickets, please contact Carla Murphy, but do so soon as we have a limited number available.

The St. Paul Church (in rural Boone) Ladies Society invites all women to their “Mother, Daughter, Friend Salad Supper” on Wed, June 1 at 6:00 pm. They will be collecting items for Orphan Grain Train. (See the wish list on the bulletin board.) A speaker from the new Orphan Grain Train Clemons location will give a short presentation following the salad supper.

Power point and Soundboard operators needed!  We would like to get a few more people trained to operate the power point and soundboard. It is not that difficult, but training is required. We will make sure you are completely comfortable with the operation before assigning you.  Please contact the office if you have questions or are interested.

For the Wednesday Bible study on Isaiah, please read Isaiah chapters 62-66 for our next session on May 18.

The Nominating Committee has a few positions that need to be filled for the coming year. They are: Chair– Board of Evangelism; Vice Chair– Board of Education; Vice Chair– Board of Stewardship. We encourage all St. Paul members to be involved in our TEAM to help things run smoothly at St. Paul. Please pray if God is calling you to serve in one of these positions.  If you have any questions about a position and what it involves contact Chris Hand at 515-229-3072.

Offering COUNTERS NEEDED! In reviewing the feedback from the Time & Talent forms we have received, we still see a need few more volunteers to cover the “counters” for next year. If you are interested and willing to serve in this area, please contact Keith Folkmann at (515) 441-6489 / keith.folkmann@gmail.com or the church office at (515) 232-5838 / office@saintpaulames.org. Thank-you for considering this stewardship opportunity.

Women’s Bible study We are doing a spring / summer study on “Focus Lost, Focus Restored”. It looks at several people in the Bible and can be done as individual sessions, so come when you are able. All women are invited to attend. Our next lesson (May 16 at 5:45 pm) will look at David and Solomon.

We have the Joining Jesus on His Mission books by Greg Finke. This book tells you how to share Jesus’ love in everyday life. Pastor will lead a Bible study on this in the fall, so if you would like to read it over the summer you can purchase them for $10 at Adult Bible study today or from the office.

Informed Choices of Iowa Clinic will be having a Walk for Life and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, June 4. See the display in the narthex with details on how to sign up. For more information or questions, contact Marlene Johnson at 292-1316.

The Book to Know group will meet July 14 to discuss “Band of Sisters” by Cathy Gohlke. There is plenty of time to get this book read and join us.

OUR FAMILY SERVICE LUNCHEON will be May 26th beginning at 12 noon. Main features: FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP. All women are invited. No need to bring food as it will be provided. Contact Marilyn Hagemoser at 232-2807 if you can make it. Hope to see you there.
