LYF EVENT- On Feb 3 at 5:30 pm we will be decorating cookies and taking them to some of our shut-ins. The shut-ins were so appreciative when we did this in November! Human Care board will be helping us with supper and the event. Pick up time for youth will be 8:00 pm. Permission forms are due today (Jan 31) to Carla Murphy or the church office.

Conversational Dinners take to the lanes on Sunday, February 14th.  We have had a great season so far, and we aren’t done yet. But first, a very warm thank you to our January Soup Supper hosts, Connie and Jon Buss, Marilyn and Wayne Hagemoser, and Paul Adel Knop. The evening was cold and crisp but the soup was tasty and hot.

Tradition is, all good teams get to play in a bowl game, we are no different. We will be “bowl-ing” at Perfect Games and then staying for pizza and crowning our champions on February 14th. Be ready to take to the lanes at 5:45pm, $5 per person to bowl for an hour.   After the game, we will huddle up for pizza there. So don’t be left on the sidelines, contact Drue and Ellen Sander to get on the roster. 292-3574 or druellen@hotmail.com

The “Book to Know” group will meet Feb 25 at the home of Pam Hagan to discuss “The Veritas Conflict” by Shaunti Feldhahn. Everyone is invited to read this exciting book and join us for the discussion.

Ash Wednesday arrives in 17 days! This is the annual SOUP & PIE SUPPER hosted by the LWML/WOSP on February 10th at 5:45 p.m. Please note the time change as the Board of Directors has given the OK to begin 15 minutes earlier than in the past. This first supper is always well received and attended. Serving earlier will give all a chance to participate (we will serve all who attend) and will also give the kitchen help time to clear the kitchen and finish clean-up so they can attend the service at the beginning. Please be thinking about what you can bring to the supper. The sign-up sheet has already been posted. Questions? Call Tanny 233-5444.

NOTICE – Iowa District West is discontinuing publishing the Harvest magazine. They will continue to publish IDW pages in The Lutheran Witness. If you would like to sign up to receive The Lutheran Witness, please contact the office.
