Special Men’s Event-  April 11. We are blessed to have Col. Jimmy Coy (Ret.) here to speak on MEN WITHOUT FEAR. Col. Coy has authored seven Christian books and travels to speak to men who would like to fulfill God’s divine plan for them. The event will be from 8:30 – 11:30 am with a continental breakfast beginning at 8:00 am.  Please sign up on the bulletin board TODAY so we know how many to plan for.

On Sunday, April 12, a SAFE training session will be offered at 9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church.  All volunteers (adults and teenagers) at St. Paul who work with our children and/or youth need to become SAFE certified by completing a SAFE application and attending a SAFE training session.  New members at St. Paul or anyone who may help with summer Sunday School or VBS is encouraged to attend this April 12 session.  Our goal at St. Paul is to have all our members SAFE certified.  SAFE applications will be available at the training or by contacting Ardy Ulrichson, 292-5575 or aulrichson@mchsi.com.

St Paul Preschool is in need of a treasurer.  The work can be done online from your home.  We use Quicken books. Please prayerfully consider helping out this great program.  Please contact DeAnn Barnes or Lori Jenks for more information.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to everyone who came to help with the East Egg Hunt. We had the 5 story tellers, craft and egg dyeing helpers, the youth who ran eggs in and out, those who helped with the snacks and many more. It makes it so much fun when we get a lot of people involved. No matter what you did during the event, it was meaningful and important and we thank you again. ~The Board of Education

The letter from the City of Ames Park and Rec Department in regard to the “Adopt a Flower Garden” in Ames has arrived. We have done this the last few years.is the large garden by the walking bridge at Brookside Park. We order the number of flowers we need from Holub’s Garden and Greenhouse which they furnish at no charge and deliver them to the garden site. We maintain the flower garden. The City of Ames waters the garden and will furnish us with free mulch. We have had great help with planting in the past and hopefully we will get a lot of volunteers again this year. April 15 is the deadline to confirm our participation. May 13 the planting and mulching begins. June 15 planting and mulching ends. Please let us know by email or signing up on the sheet posted in the narthex. If we do not get a good response, we will have to give up the garden. Thanks. Serving Christ with Joy, Tom and Judy japeter@iastate.edu  or tpeterames@gmail.com
