Announcements:

TODAY a SAFE training session will be offered at 9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church.  All volunteers (adults and teenagers) at St. Paul who work with our children and/or youth need to become SAFE certified by completing a SAFE application and attending a SAFE training session.  New members at St. Paul or anyone who may help with summer Sunday School or VBS is encouraged to attend this April 12 session.  Our goal at St. Paul is to have all our members SAFE certified.  SAFE applications will be available at the training or by contacting Ardy Ulrichson, 292-5575 or aulrichson@mchsi.com.

The “Book to Know” group will meet April 16 at 7:00 pm to discuss “The Red Tent” by Anita Diamant. The location has been changed.  We will meet here at the church in the Youth room. Treats will be provided; bring your own beverage.

Youth Sunday Practices Youth Sunday is April 26 (both services). We will be having practices on Wed. April 22 at 5:30p (pizza will be served) and then on Saturday, April 25 from 9-11am. This is for youth in grades 1-12. Parts are in the process of being handed out. If you have questions, please contact Wayne Hagemoser or Carla Murphy.

St Paul Preschool is in need of a treasurer.  The work can be done online from your home.  We use Quicken books. Please prayerfully consider helping out this great program.  Please contact DeAnn Barnes or Lori Jenks for more information.

Bibles, churches, and lives are being destroyed by a violent Muslim group in Nigeria. Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson is collecting used Bibles and hymnals to be sent to Nigeria. What a great way to share the good news with these people who so desperately need it. If you have old Bibles and/or hymnals that you would be willing to donate to this important cause, please leave them on the back pew in the fellowship hall before April 26.We will be sure to get them to Jefferson to be sent on their way to Nigeria.

Murder Mystery Dinner….the lights went out, a shot was fired, a dead body lays on the floor…..who did it? The St. Paul Players once again provided the clues and chuckles that helped solve the murder, while providing an entertaining evening.  Chuck Wagon Chef, Duane Faas, provided a mouth waterin’, finger lickin’ good dinner, served up by our youthful saloon servers.  Applause, applause to you all for making it an evening to remember.

Pastor’s Wednesday morning Bible study on Acts will continue April 15th at 10:30 am. We will cover chapters 19 & 20. Senior fellowship will follow at 11:30. Bring a dish and join us.

Easter breakfast Thanks – to borrow a phrase from Coach Rhoads, “I’m so proud to be” a part of the St. Paul family.  Thanks to everyone who attended our Easter Breakfast and donated money toward the 2016 Youth trip and to everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make it all happen, “I am so proud” of your efforts – from the people who donated the coffee creamer, to the youth who served, and to those who rolled up their sleeves and did all the dishes, as one volunteer said “this is a lot of work!” I want to thank you ALL for making the work “fun”. A special thank you to Drue, my husband, for his support and willingness to do what is needed.   THANK YOU!!! Ellen Sander
