Voter Meeting May 17: In two weeks we will have our annual voters meeting. An agenda item will be the approval of the 2015-2016 Slate of Officers. We have made excellent progress this past week in filling the remaining vice chair board positions. We do need your prayerful consideration on the chair positions that remain open; evangelism (Nick Schieffer),  youth (Carla Murphy), and human care (Nancy Wiebel). the chair-elect of these boards for more information or to volunteer to serve the Lord.

Pastor’s Wednesday morning Bible study on Acts will continue May 6th at 10:30 am. We will cover chapters 25-26.

Walther League Reunion Celebrating 75 years of Camp Okoboji with a reunion on June 6 & 7, 2015. See the flyer on the bulletin board for information about these 2 days.

The LWML is still collecting ink cartridges and cell phones for recycling. But please note: We are unable to use the cell phones if they do not include the charger.  If you have dropped off cell phones at the office, please bring in the chargers or we cannot use them.  Thank you.

Minnesota Lutheran Work Week – 2015 Serve God by serving others at the Lutheran Island Camp and Retreat Center in Henning, MN. June 7-12, 2015 We will leave on Sunday, June 7 and return on Friday, June 12. Cost- $625—includes lodging, transportation and most food. Do you like to work with youth? Are you looking for a place to serve your Lord and church family? If so, the Board of Youth needs you! We are looking for someone to be Vice Chair starting in July for this next term as well as for some members to serve on the Youth Board. Meetings are once a month and then activities are once a month from September to May.  For more information, please contact Carla Murphy, Vice Chair Board of Youth.

Let’s Make life a PICNIC and GAMES for one night! All Youth in grades 1-12 are invited to join us at Moore Park at the Cone Flower shelter house (the smaller shelter before the big one) for the end of the year picnic and games on Wednesday, May 13 from 5-7pm. The Board of Youth will provide hot dogs to roast, beverages and supplies to make s’mores. We need you to bring a side dish to share (chips, relish tray, salad, fruit etc.) We will have a basketball, bean bag toss game and ladder golf game. Feel free to bring any outdoor games of your own to play/share. We might even do a relay game with prizes!

Congratulations to the 2015 Confirmation class!  The confirmands are Ben Gebhart, Jordan Vetter, Alex Highby, Kaitlyn Wegner and Kaitlyn Cook. Be sure to congratulate them on this very special time in their Christian lives, and join us for a reception honoring the confirmands today at 9:45 am in the Fellowship Hall.

The family of Scott Olson would like to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers. Scott was living at Park Place in Glenwood, Iowa, an ICF-ID.
