Announcements:

We are in need of a few more people who will call our first time visitors and thank them for visiting St. Paul and answer any questions they may have.  This is a very easy, but important job. If you are interested, please contact the church office. Thanks.

Are you missing any dishes??  We are cleaning the kitchen and have found several items (bowls, containers, silverware, baskets, etc.) that may be yours. These items will be on a table in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday for you to claim it if it is yours.

Congregational Care Cards are now available and have been placed in the pews.If you or someone you know from the congregation needs meals provided due to illness or surgery, or if someone needs a visit or transportation provided, please fill out the card in the pew rack, place it in the offering plate, and either an elder or Human Care Board member will take action to help out. Thank you!

The Women’s Bible study group will be beginning a new Beth Moore study Jan 12th on “Esther: It’s tough being a woman”. The books will be $10. Please let the office know if you would like a book.  All women are invited to join us. We meet in the youth room Mondays at 5:45 pm for prayer with the study beginning at 6 pm.

LYF Trip to Perfect Games is January 14 ~ permission forms are on the magazine rack in the west entryway. They are due to Wayne Hagemoser, Carla Murphy, or the office by Jan 11th.

New Sunday Morning Bible Study on the Foundations of the Christian Faith This January our Sunday morning adult Bible study will begin a new study of the foundations of the Christian faith. During the study we will review the Lutheran church’s teaching on such subjects as the relationship and roles of Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Scriptures/Word of God; justification/forgiveness of sins, Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and much more. Adults who have never been confirmed may be confirmed by attending the Sunday morning sessions, completing the workbook lessons, and having a final personal meeting with the pastor for discussion and questions & answers. If you did not order the book through the office it is available from CPH at cph.org or 1-800-325-3040.. It is called “That I May Know Him” by Oswald Riess. It is item #175065 and is $12.99 plus shipping.  The books ordered through the office came to $13.55.
