Our December LYF event will be attending the Cyclone Women’s basketball Faith & Family Day on Sunday, December 7 at 1 pm. We will meet at the church and go as a group. The Youth Board will pay for your ticket to get in but you will need to provide money for any concessions you may want. Please sign up on the bulletin board by TODAY, or contact the church office so we can be included in the group rate/seating.

Our Worship service on December 7 will feature many special songs by the Bells of St. Paul with some help from the Parish choir. Please join us for this special worship service,  “The Bells of Christmas.”

Fall Mission Project: The Sunday School will be directing offerings from September through December to the purchase of mittens and hats for needy children. The children can also bring NEW hats and mittens in as offerings as well.

School supplies still needed– The need for notebooks, pencils, & backpacks is very great this year. We will continue to collect these items to help local kids.

Photos are in– check the box on the table in the hall for your free 8 x 10.

The Women’s Bible study group is doing a short 5 session study by Donna Pyle titled “One Extraordinary Night” based on Luke 2. Everyone is invited to join us at 5:45 pm for prayer and 6:00 pm for the study.  There is no cost for the materials.

Christmas Party for Conversational Dinners…come and celebrate the season on Saturday, Dec. 13th.  We will meet at 5:30 to bring some Christmas music to several of our shut-in members. Later we will gather again at the Keith and Carol Folkmann home to enjoy appetizers and desserts. If you can’t join us at 5:30, we hope that you can join us later at the Folkmann’s. Please let Drue & Ellen Sander know if you do or do not plan to attend.  515-292-3574 or druellen@hotmail.com

Thank you to all who participated in the HOPE Gift Market. Your generous response in Helping Other People Everywhere is heartwarming! Please fill out the form, attach your check, leave in the Human Care box in the coat room. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO CONTRIBUTE.  ~Human Care Board‌

Thanks to everyone who chose an angel from the Angel Tree. Please bring the wrapped gifts back to the fellowship hall by December 14th. Also, please remember to attach the angel to your wrapped gift so we are sure each child gets the correct gift.

We are in need of one or two Midweek teachers for 3rd and 4th grades starting in January to cover a 4-6 week period for our teacher during surgery and recovery. This is a great group of students who are excited about learning more about God’s word. Please pray about this call. It’s a great opportunity to get to know our youth better and to share your faith. Contact Cindy Baas if you are willing to teach.
