Special Mens Event-  Nov 15 we are blessed to have Col. Jimmy Coy (Ret.) here to speak on MEN WITHOUT FEAR. Col. Coy has authored seven Christian books and travels to speak to men who would like to fulfill God’s divine plan for them. The event will be from 8:30 – noon with a continental breakfast beginning at 8:00 am.  Please sign up on the bulletin board so we know how many to plan for.

HOPE Gift Market-November 9th  9:30—11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall
November 9th is the date for our annual HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) Gift Market. Come check out the displays set up for each sponsored organization, including our newest, Lutherans For Life. While you’re browsing, enjoy some coffee and treats provided by the Board of Human Care.

We are in need of a few more people who will call our first time visitors and thank them for visiting St. Paul and answer any questions they may have.  This is a very easy, but important job. If you are interested, please contact the church office. Thanks.

Believe Catalog sales will continue through Sunday, November 16th. Orders may be placed online, an email will be sent at a future date to all members with online ordering, or with youth before and after Sunday services in the Narthex. Orders will be delivered before Christmas. Proceeds will benefit the 2016 National Youth Gathering (NYG).

All Veterans of St. Paul – Please bring a picture or memento of your service in the Armed Forces by Nov 2 to be displayed the weekend of Nov 9 for Veteran’s Day. We will be thanking God for our Veterans on Nov. 9. Come shake the hand of our Veterans and thank them for their service.  We will also be taking a free-will offering to benefit the LCMS Chaplain Association. Also needed are Veterans who are interested in participating in the Color Guard presentation at the beginning of the service. Please contact Dick Peterson at 515-835-1737 if you can help with the display or can participate in the presentation of the Colors.

Wednesday morning Bible study will meet this week. For Oct 29, please read chapters 24-26.

New Mission Project: The Sunday School will be directing offerings from September through December to the purchase of mittens and hats for needy children. The children can also bring NEW hats and mittens in as offerings as well.

Younkers Coupon Books are for sale now!!!They are $5 to purchase but have a $10 coupon in the book.
