Special Men’s Event-  Nov 15 we are blessed to have Col. Jimmy Coy (Ret.) here to speak on MEN WITHOUT FEAR. Col. Coy has authored seven Christian books and travels to speak to men who would like to fulfill God’s divine plan for them. The event will be from 8:30 – noon with a continental breakfast beginning at 8:00 am.  Please sign up on the bulletin board so we know how many to plan for.

Reformation Celebration! This year our Reformation Sunday actually falls on Sunday, October 26! During worship services on Reformation Sunday, October 26, you will hear the mighty message of the Reformation, experience the moving music of our brass ensemble, and of course, sing your favorite Reformation hymn, Luther’s renowned “A Mighty Fortress.”  On October 26 you are invited to wear “red for Reformation,” as red is the liturgical color for Reformation Day.   Join us as we celebrate Luther’s clarion call to remember that we all are saved by God’s grace, through faith, as the Scriptures proclaim!  Sola Gratia!  Sola Fide!  Sola Scriptura!

We are in need of a few more people who will call our first time visitors and thank them for visiting St. Paul and answer any questions they may have.  This is a very easy, but important job. If you are interested, please contact the church office. Thanks.

Believe Catalog sales will continue through Sunday, November 16th. Orders may be placed online, an email will be sent at a future date to all members with online ordering, or with youth before and after Sunday services in the Narthex. Orders will be delivered before Christmas. Proceeds will benefit the 2016 National Youth Gathering (NYG).

The Quarterly Giving Reports are in your member mailboxes located near the Wilson Ave. doors.

All Veterans of St. Paul – Please bring a picture or memento of your service in the Armed Forces by Nov 2 to be displayed the weekend of Nov 9 for Veteran’s Day. We will be thanking God for our Veterans on Nov. 9. Come shake the hand of our Veterans and thank them for their service.  We will also be taking a free-will offering to benefit the LCMS Chaplain Association. Also needed are Veterans who are interested in participating in the Color Guard presentation at the beginning of the service. Please contact Dick Peterson at 515-835-1737 if you can help with the display or can participate in the presentation of the Colors.
