The Praise Team is in great need of a percussionist or rhythm person.  If you can help out, please talk to Joan Ingwersen.

Items Needed for the Haiti Mission Trip  We are accepting donations of school supplies, health items and back packs for the upcoming Mission trip to Haiti. Donation bins are located in the east entryway.

Perry Lutheran Home Visit St. Paul Lutheran Church is providing the devotion, singing hymns, and bringing cakes to the Perry Lutheran Home on Tuesday, April 8. We will leave the church at 1 p.m. and should return by 4 p.m. See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Come and Help! Church Spring Cleanup Day is set for this Saturday, April 5th, from 8 to 11 a.m.

EASTER PROCESSION Our celebration of Christ’s resurrection will soon be here. Would you like to praise the Lord as part of the Easter Procession on April 20 at the 7:30 am service? The furnishings of the chancel are removed during the Maundy Thursday service. 36 men, women and children are needed to bring in the lilies, communion ware, paraments, and candles in this glorious Easter service. If you want to a part of this please contact Gretchen Zitterich at 232-1765 or gzitterich@mchsi.com or sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex. Your assignments will be posted by Maundy Thursday.

For those of you who like to shop garage sales, Family Service is asking you to watch for good deals on baskets. We give fruit baskets to St. Paul shut ins at Christmas, and our supply of baskets has been depleted. So if you run across any baskets that would work as a gift fruit basket(with or without handles, size: not too big, not too small), we would appreciate them. They can be left in the quilter’s room which is on the NE corner off the fellowship hall – through the double doors and on your left.

April 2 Lenten Supper, 6 pm. Our youth will be serving spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and sweets. They will be having a freewill donation in order to raise money for their National Youth Gathering trip.

Chili Cook-off & Lenten Supper – April 9   Plan to join in the fun of sampling ten different kinds of chili on Wednesday, April 9th beginning at 6 p.m. The third  annual St. Paul Chili Cook-off competition and supper will be held prior to the Lenten service and supper guests will have an opportunity to vote for the “people’s choice” chili by depositing money in voting jars next to their favorite(s) to determine the winner. All donations received will be donated to Good Neighbor Emergency Assistance for the Healthy Food Vouchers program. After the “tasting”, regular chili, cornbread, and ice cream will be served by Human Care members – with the proceeds of a free-will offering going to support other Human Care projects.  (A small pot of alternate soup will be available for non-chili fans.) If you’d like to enter the contest, there are still four spaces available, please contact Pat Thiede by emailing her at patsy50010@gmail.com or calling her at 232-5810.
